Located in the center of Cosoleto, Piazza Italia hosts the Town Hall, the home of all citizens. Observing the tower, the coat of arms of the village, the turret clock, and the civic bell can seen. The town square, a popular meeting place for the inhabitants of Cosoleto, hosts a monument to the fallen soldiers of the First World War by the sculptor Barca completed in 1925. It consists of a rectangular stone stele bearing a bronze bas-relief in the foreground of a soldier standing upright holding weapons in his hand and a wounded soldier at his feet, in memory of the sacrifice of all those who fought for the Homeland. Also found in the square is an ancient fountain built in 1899 in neoclassical style, which was originally located at the top of a staircase in the centre of the square. The finials that release water are made of marble, as is the rest of the fountain.
